(40,416 posts)in this case there are enough economists (Krugman and others) who see this as a causal relation. My best friend is an academic economist who also argues passionately that these causal links exist.
This country is in trouble because there are too few who see this correlation as not being causation.

(1,214 posts)I think there are at least a few people out there in the land of non-critical thinking who believe that because correlation does not imply causation, it follows that correlation can always be disregarded.
Sigh.
