General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe news is still propping up Trump by calling the Russian interference in our election as
"alleged hacking". It's not alleged. It fucking happened and Trump is exposing himself by saying "move on". Trump was involved. Circumstantial evidence says so. Circumstantial evidence can convict a person in a court of law. There is NO reasonable doubt. Any reasonable person with ears and eyes should have no doubt. Things are getting weirder daily. Trump will give Putin the murderer a pass. That should tell you something.

(70,282 posts)our hands are being tied by the need to keep sources and methods secret, but pootie let it all hang out to help cheeto. this is not a good sign.
no way they do that on a hunch or a whim. they would only do that w good insurance- active accomplices in cheeto's camp, or enough blackmail to keep him in hand. this is way beyond money, tho no doubt there is plenty of that in the mix, too.

(23,978 posts)you don't gamble with stakes that high unless you have something damn close to a sure thing, the payoff is phenomenal, or (preferably) both.
no question about the payoff - complete victory for Putin there.
question is, how much of a sure thing was it really? we'd like to think it wasn't, but the Russians were in a position to help with the insurance themselves.

(34,661 posts)it is the same Briefing Book. But,then we have a so called News Service with a vested interest in how their chosen Candidate is portrayed. Orwell's 1984 in real time.

(6,943 posts)Take him at his word. He said "I hope Russian hackers are listening, hack Clinton for us and get 30,000 emails" (paraphrased)
And now that Russians hacked Clinton, I am told "move on."

(1,074 posts)I am so sick of hearing them say "Move on!" If I hear that term come from them one more time, I will just scream!! The republican party is the poster child of investigations ad nauseum, so NO...we should not just move on! This needs to be said loud and clear every time they try to tell us to just "move on!"

(49 posts)That so many people have been just fine with all of the times WE have interfered with and tried to influence other countries' selection of their leaders (subtly or otherwise), but when it's done TO us, all of a sudden it's an outrage. More American exceptionalism.
If a candidate is complicit in it, that's a completely separate issue, of course.

I saw you on another thread, being very rude to people who supporting a person for speaking out against Trump. And here you are again, your finger wagging - more criticism against a perceived threat to Trump's "legitimacy."
So very strange. It just seems like an odd reason to join DU.
I won't be responding to whatever angry retort you direct to this post. I don't care. I just wanted to share what I noticed with others.
Have a nice day.

(49 posts)you'd know that wasn't true.

And yes, I saw you in another thread trying to make it seem like I was criticizing people here for bashing Republicans, when I was actually doing exactly the opposite. Whether you just didn't understand my post or were trying to smear me falsely, I have no idea, but that combined with this (also deliberately false accusation) makes me wonder about YOUR motives.
And let's see...here are the site rules:
No personal attacks or flaming
Do not personally attack, insult, flame, threaten, bully, harass, stalk, negatively call-out, ascribe ugly ulterior motives to, or make baseless claims about any member of this community.
You've followed me from that thread to this one and tried to continue a dispute from there (stalking), negatively called me out, tried to imply that I'm a troll, and made baseless and demonstrably false claims about me. Four violations at a minimum.
No need for you to respond.
