Trump and The Wizards First Rule
I get it! Terry Goodkind has a series of 17 books known as the Sword of Truth series, and a thread woven through the series are the 11 "Wizard's Rules", which are practical teachings given to young wizards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sword_of_Truth
In this election year the first 2 rules make perfect sense although the rest seem to as well
Wizard's First Rule:
"People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

Applies to Trump and all of his loyal deplorables who believe his absolutely ridiculous bullshit, as well as every Fox News watcher who believes they are fair and balanced, because they tell you they are and you believe them, and lastly to all those that believe Hillary is some wacked out pedophile maniac selling babies to fund ISIS.
Wizard's Second Rule:
The greatest harm can result from the best intentions.
Seems to apply to all those who felt since Bernie wasnt the guy and decided to sit this one out, or they didnt like Bill and therefore couldnt vote for her or didnt like either, so sitting it out and letting the chips fall where they may with the idea of whats the worst that could happen? mentality
Which all in the end allowed for the thinnest win in history by a self absorbed sociopath. Check please
