"OCE may not undertake a review of any alleged violation that occurred before the 112th Congress"
The One Hundred Twelfth United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, from January 3, 2011Proposed new House rules prohibit the ethics office from investigating any allegation of abuse that occurred before Jan. 3, 2011.
(Q) In addition to the limitations on review
described in section 1(e), the board of the Office may not undertake a review of any alleged
violation that occurred before the One Hundred Twelfth Congress.
(R) Nothing in section 1(f) may be construed to authorize the board of the Office to
make any public statement, or release any information or other material to the public or any
other entity, unless such statement or information has already been released by the Committee on Ethics or the release of such statement or information has been authorized by the
Committee on Ethics.
