(14,308 posts)Santorum decided not to moderate his views even though the Republicans were going to get trounced in 2006. So he lost by 20 points.
Mark Kirk decided to act as Democratic as he could and lost by 14 points.
Arlen Specter decided to switch parties and was defeated by Joe Sestak in the primary.
Jim Jeffords gave it up and retired.
Sometimes there just aren't any good answers.
It's something Joe Manchin (Trump + 42%), Joe Donnelly (Trump + 19%), Claire McCaskill (Trump + 19%), Jon Tester (Trump + 20%) and Heidi Heitkamp (Trump + 36%) are all thinking about now I'm sure.
