He is trying to show another coming disaster.

(58,726 posts)and just like 9/11, the real damage was done by us to ourselves after the fact.
In fact, I think you can trace a lot of what is happening today right back to that day.

(2,120 posts)1. The GOP guts Obamacare. 20 million go uninsured.
2. A Hey everyone! Look! Whats that (crisis / event / problem / concept) over there??! diversion immediately ensues. The GOP races to address said (real or imaginary) issue without bothering to deliver any of their pledges on "fixing" health care.
3. Anyone who questions why these pledges werent kept is then derided as obstructionist, anti-American, unpatriotic, biased, reporting fake news (thatll be a big one, Im afraid - theyre already immediately labeling any uncomfortable facts as fake news). The GOP will shout down detractors by insisting What were YOU doing while we were taking care of (diversionary issue they ran off to address)? You liberals are all problems, no solutions, no ideas of your own, etc. etc. etc.
4. Rinse and repeat. Trump supporters vote to re-elect despite the string of failed or empty promises because liberals in charge would be so much worse.
