(175,747 posts)Tuesday will be a feelgood evening here in Chicago because President Obama will be in Chicago. I don't want him to leave office; he's the best president of my lifetime and Truman was in office when I was born. JFK might have compared but he died too soon.

(12,436 posts)There is a ton of meaning in that line and I bet it flew right over Trump's comb-over. I think it means he's not going to be quiet and he recognizes we will have to take a stand. Obama chooses his words carefully while Trump blurts out whatever lonesome thought crosses his mind. Sad.

(24,589 posts)I don't believe he will ride off into the sunset and leave us stranded with this madman. He is the leader of our party, and he will still be leading us going forward.

(20,219 posts)He's not the kind to leave the People to the wolves.
I caught a lot of meaning in, "I look forward to standing with you as a citizen" too.
I'm still crying at the thought, though.
I never watch tv, I'm sure I won't watch him leaving, the helicopter and all.... unless I can find a good good friend and we can cry together.
