seriously, sure, he prefers positive attention, but negative attention is perfectly fine with him.

the only thing that would get him on suicide watch would be if the media started completely ignoring him.

obviously, yes, he fights it tooth and nail, and childishly so.

on the other hand, he does actively court it. he provokes people, he pushes peoples' buttons, he enjoys pissing people off and bullying them and he knows full well many of them will react by attacking him one way or another.

so on another level, he enjoys the fight.

the important thing is that the attention is all on him, one way or another.

It wouldn't surprise me if he stepped down.

Regardless, he should be impeached.

It's almost always the sensitive and empathetic types that are suicide risks.

It depends. If they can use the threat of suicide as a means of controlling those they want to control, they will use it all the bloody time, until or unless their target(s) call the bluff, call the cops and get the narc taken in on a 72 hour hold, or just ignore it.

Narcs do kill themselves -- and often take someone or someones with them -- if it's the biggest fuck you they can imagine. (This is especially true if the narcissist has a belief in the continuity of consciousness.)

And when Narcs crash hard into an immovable object, they can decide to take the dramatic way out, especially if there's no other way out.
