In 2012 we opened our home to be a call center for President Obama's campaign.

Most days we would have 20 to 25 people here making calls and knocking on doors here in SW PA. Turned out our home was #1 in PA for phone calls and door knocks. It was the most glorious two months that you can imagine. Our team captain was invited to the White House after the election. Our home was built in 1902 and when I think about the history here it is amazing. We proudly added to that history by holding those events here. It wasn't easy...we were called names and our signs were repeatedly stolen from our yard but we met so many wonderful people working for the most wonderful President ever. I love President Obama and his family, I cry like a baby when I think of him leaving office. On a side note, the day that Hillary was nominated, we went to the Westmoreland County Democratic office and offered our home again. Guess how many people we had show up here...zero. it was so frustrating and heartbreaking for us....no ground game at all.
We love you, President Obama and we know that you will continue to lead us. Love and peace to you and your beautiful family.
