Phoenix metro, but it's been raining and threatening to rain almost continuously for weeks and weeks. The saguaro and organ pipes are going to keel over if this keeps up. My friend's young organ pipe cactus has turned yellow!

6. The wind is worse. A few trees down and it broke my 'brolly.

But we need the rain. And from what I've been hearing, this year the farmers are being encouraged to flood their fields and orchards so that the water will drain into the aquifer instead of draining into the ocean.

it rained like {insert cow urine and flat rock simile} today. Flash flood warnings and all. I'll be talking to them later this afternoon to get a report.
