Is there at least one person either inside or outside the bubble that will tell him what's going on in the real world and what he should try to do to correct the collision course he's on?
Is there any person on the planet that this ill man will at least try to hear ?
Even Nixon listened to his wife and family at the end....and the end is surely near for Trump.

Mitt and Woolsey are serious insiders, and probably have already been assigned to end it. Just my .02

(90,780 posts)On his final day of life, Trump will be calling out for his own version of "Rosebud".
He's weak, insecure, and carrying the wounds from a childhood where he always felt second best. All his life he has tried to make up for these feelings of inadequacies, both real and imagined - through the use of bragging to turn the modest into the spectacular, and through lying - to turn the mediocre into the best it has ever been or will be.
He lives in a fantasy bubble he has created for himself. A place where he feels safe, and his ego will brook no attempts at changing it.
Trump is a pathetic and sad man, who would be pitied if not for the power he holds.
That power makes this craven bully - who will forever be searching for a "Rosebud" that will forever elude him - dangerous to all who refuse to cater to his delusions.

(90,780 posts)He's going to fuck up the country because of something he didn't get in childhood. Something he felt he deserved and lost.
Everything about him screams emotionally stunted.

(82,849 posts)I like Welles, but I don't think he was any more prescient than Kazan (Face in the Crowd). Trump has been caught by a lot of live mikes, to no detriment. At this point, what could he say that would lose support from his zombies, or gain support from thinking Americans?

(90,780 posts)Well, maybe being booted off needed services might, but we'll see.
I still think that on his death bed he'll still be longing for that elusive something he thinks he's lost.
He strikes me as empty inside.

(15,412 posts)it was only when Goldwater told him he would lose the trial in the Senate.
So, maybe a combo of the three favorite kids and a politico or two. I don't see Kellyann of Bannon ever telling him he wasn't loved and I don't think he'd listen to any establishment republican including Priebus. (sp)

The notion of having him in the Oval Office should scare women twice as much as Trump.
