A FAR better weekend than we could have hoped for.

Sparse attendance at the inauguration was expected, but the self-inflicted wounds of Trump's divisive speech, the fuming about the small crowd sizes and the insulting remarks at the CIA were gifts.

The Women's March exceeded all expectations with huge turnout and positive messaging. They gave the press something more entertaining to cover that anything coming out Trumpland and completely dominated the news cycle. Did we talk about dresses, celebrities and parties? NO! We looked at the huuuuuge crowds that turned out all over our beautiful country and the entire world for Women's March! Better yet, on Monday, it will give politicians political capital to resist Trump's agenda more vigorously and a strong starting point for the left to begin organizing inclusively instead of splintering around various politicians and ideologies.

The media FINALLY told Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer to suck it with their "alternative facts" bullshit and straight up called them liars.

Richard Spencer got punched.

They already postponed DeVos' vote last week because they didn't have the votes. Hoping that Trump's total crash and burn inaugural weekend convinces pols on the fence about her to vote no. And also heard that they likely have a veto-proof majority to impose MORE sanctions on Russia for their interference. Fingers crossed.... All in all, a FAR better starting point than we could have hoped for.

I dream of a day (soon) when Trump's approval rating falls as low -- if not lower -- than that of Congress.

Although no doubt the Trump White House will be "swamped" in scandal, the reasons his die-hard supporters will finally desert him will be rising prices -- gas at the pump, health insurance, groceries, and durables -- and job prospects no better or even worse than under Obama.

I'll underscore that I'm not rooting for the economy to fail; it's just a foregone conclusion considering Trump's policies and plans. But I do have hope that his zombie-like followers will finally come to life and realize they've been taken for chumps.

that he has planned long enough for his cultist to realize that he has no plans to actually follow through on his populist promises, that will be the win. As you point out, his promises are impossible to actually fulfill, particularly with the current make up of congress. Universal healthcare coverage without higher taxes and/or individual mandate and huge infrastructure investments to goose employment numbers? His mouth wrote a check that his ass can't cash.

And he might provide the real starting point for re-vitalization of the left. That remains to be seen.

I have absolutely no respect for trump.
I cannot imagine what the next four years will be like.

We need to fight and obstruct trump every step of the way.....just like Mitch McConnell and his gang did against Obama.
