(2,795 posts)Which makes no sense if you're progressive. Of course you would want him to fail. His successes mean destruction of our climate, women's rights, LGBT rights, freedom of the press, public education, science and research and on and on.
I want him and his party to fail spectacularly.

(70,247 posts)i would love to see him take hostages in the white house, and come out in one of those really long sleeve coats. (no one hurt, of course, just some drama)
i want his name to become a synonym for spectacular failure.

(58,721 posts)there are scenarios where his failure doesn't leave a lot behind to rebuild on. But contemplating the results of his success is pretty frightening.

(789 posts)....he's not wearing a wedding ring. Not a huge deal, as some married folks don't... but it does seem odd since, according to him, he's all about integrity.

Snip...
In 2004, the New York Post reported that Trump traded an appearance on the Apprentice for the $1.5 million wedding band he gave to Melania Knauss the day she became Melania Trump. The jewelry would show up on the show, his wife would show up in the jewelers ads, and no money would be exchanged. You cant pay taxes on what you dont buy, can you?

The story doesnt end happily. The man who made the ring for the jewelers Graff was eventually sentenced to 25 years to life for killing his wife by incinerating her in an oil drum. As if thats not weird enough, columnist Phil Reisman of The Journal News of Westchester County, New York put a creepy exclamation point on the while story when he located an old email from the jewelers wife Faith Lippe, written before she went missing, but found only after the fact (from the February 28, 2010 Sunday The Journal News):
She had responded to a goofy contest in which I asked readers to submit an essay of 250 words or less explaining why they deserved a $24.98 Donald Trump talking doll for Christmas.
