Those who have spent time in the outdoors. Who are familiar with the land they have spent a lifetime on have already seen the writing on the wall. They are already lamenting the loss of vigor and life the land they are on has undergone. They are afraid and rightly so.

I've had them grow extensions before the hen dies to make room for the chicks, but I've never had flowers even form. We changed growing zones this year, but I grew up in the zone we're now in and have no memory of any hen ever doing this before. We didn't have what I consider to be a winter and damn near everything is way ahead of the normal blooming schedule. But hey, there's no global warming.
