‘Morning Joe’ rips apart Trump’s voter fraud delusions: ‘His team can’t bear to tell him the truth’

“The crowd size bit and the 3 million to 5 million illegal [voters] bit is all hinged on the fact that Donald Trump can’t stand hearing that, somehow, he’s not a legitimate president,” panelist Willie Geist said of Trump’s need to invent excuses for his low popularity.

Co-host Mika Brzezinski seemed particularly upset by Spicer indulging Trump’s voter fraud delusions, and she said it showed Trump had no one on his team who could level with him and make him face reality.

“His team can’t bear to tell him the truth,” she said. “That’s bad.”

Panelist Mike Barnicle pivoted off that and asked if there was anyone on his team who could tell him to stop complaining about petty slights and start acting like a normal president.

“Who tells him, ‘You are President of the United States?'” he asked incredulously. “You are the president — act like the president!”
