(3,827 posts)Happy birthday, Valerie Harper! The actress turns 77 on Aug. 22, 2016.
Harper was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013 and told she had three months to live. Three years later, she is still going strong.
Im doing better, very well! the actress, best known for playing Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, told Access Hollywood in June.
Harper is still battling cancer, but shes approaching her diagnosis with a positive attitude. She says her husband of more than 30 years, former celebrity personal trainer Tony Cacciotti, has been an important source of strength and support.
My husband is the best caregiver in the world, Harper told Closer Weekly in June. He makes me exercise. So many of us dont. We think its food that matters the most, but exercise and food both matter.
