The owner of "The Joy of Knitting" in Franklin, Tennessee does NOT want your business

if you're one of those evil, vile, vulgar Women's Marchers.

Or I'm sure, if you're an evil, vile, vulgar DUer.

So please grant her wish and stay away from her shop. . . . but maybe you might want to leave her a message on Facebook.

This is from Facebook:

With the recent women's march on Washington, I ask that you if you want yarn for any project for the women's movement that you please shop for yarn elsewhere. The vulgarity, vile and evilness of this movement is absolutely despicable. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and is not welcomed at The Joy of Knitting. I will never need that kind of business to remain open. Two wrongs will never ever make it right.

As the owner of this business and a Christian, I have a duty to my customers and my community to promote values of mutual respect, love, compassion, understanding, and integrity. The women's movement is counterproductive to unity of family, friends, community, and nation.
I do pray for these women. May the God work out His love in their hearts and continue to heal and unite Americans.

Elizabeth

Let her put herself out of business. I am not a big fan of piling on small businesses, frankly.

from seeing a women's March and going 'yeah - I'm with you on misogyny, it is a bad thing'. And the alt right complains about the hold Islam has on women.

It's pathetic and it's all over my social media feed. I live in the Nashville area and I can assure you that her stance is being applauded. These are the same fundi women here who have been pooh poohing the women's marches since saturday.

They are the great brainwashed masses. Their churches train them from an early age that if you love and serve "God" then you also "honor" him by voting GOP. It's been going on at least since the early 80's. Many of them are good people in their normal lives but many have never seen much of the world outside of their own communities and every Sunday is the indoctrination hour. No amount of logic will changes these minds. I saw, personally, FB posts from many of them when the "pussy grabbing" video came out and they brushed it off like it was nothing. Some even went so far as to say that Trump was a "changed man" now and was a man of God, despite absolutely ZERO evidence to support that claim. They're eating up his bullshit right now like it's cake.

Most yarn shops are already struggling to keep their doors open due to better selection and prices online.

She's a terrible business person.

What business she loses from everyone else, she'll gain back from all the fundamentalists in the area. They'll consider her a hero, and go buy yarn from her. If her shop starts to get in trouble, all she'll have to do is put up some sort of appeal about how the godless are oppressing her and all the churchies in the area will go buy yarn from her whether or not they even use it. She's just jumped on the fundie Christ-y gravy train.

But it sure is fun to see all the reviews on Facebook.
