Has your Senator taken money from Betsy DeVos? Find out here, and call them on it.

21 members of the Senate Committee considering Betsy DeVos's nomination for Secretary of Education have taken tens of thousands of dollars of campaign contributions from Betsy DeVos and her family - a total of more than $950,000!

“Hi, I’m a constituent, and I’m very concerned about the contributions he/she has received from Betsy DeVos and her family. Senator (name) should recuse him/herself from voting on her confirmation to avoid the appearance of pay-to-play politics. I hope Senator (name) does the right thing and recuses him/herself. Thank you.”

Sen. Roy Blunt (MO) - $33,100: (202) 224-5721

Of the 12 Republican Committee members, five have received substantial donations from DeVos:

Burr
Cassidy
Young
Murkowski
Scott

They should not be allowed to vote and must recuse themselves.

ON EDIT: Aaaaargh! The recorded voice answering the phone says "no one is answering that number." It gives you the choice of leaving a message for Labor or Health (No education!). So I press Health and it says "no one is answering that number, to leave a message ..." Then it immediately says, "I'm sorry, that mailbox is full."

HELP is an appropriate term for this committee. I suggest that if you are a constituent of one of the Democrats on that Committee, contact them directly: Murray, Sanders, Casey, Franken, Bennet, Whitehouse, Baldwin, Murphy, Warren, Kaine, Hassan.
