Condi Rice possibly in the running for VP...

“Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice delivered a 15-minute luncheon speech on foreign and domestic policy Saturday that donors described as electrifying and had attendees on their feet twice,” said Rucker. “One donor said Rice was ‘the star of the show,’ while another said that, if it was a vice presidential tryout, ‘she hit it out of the park.’”

“Many of those same attendees said the star speaker of the weekend was former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who received a standing ovation. Charles Cobb, who served as ambassador to Iceland from 1989 to 1992, said Rice was ‘spectacular’ and described her as a ‘very bright, sophisticated, articulate lady,’” said ABC News.

Rice has said in the past that she’s not interested in the vice presidential spot on the Romney ticket and she is rarely mentioned as a possible running mate.

But Rice’s appearance at the Romney event and at an upcoming event at ShePAC tonight are signs the former Bush cabinet member can be a factor in the upcoming campaign, at least as a dynamic speaker and advocate for the Romney ticket

Rice, 57, would certainly bring a different factor to the Romney ticket, as an African-American woman from California. She also has a foreign policy background and high-level cabinet experience.

"I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center"

except for the many reports from the CIA that said they might do just that.

"I don't think anybody could have predicted ... that they would try to use an airplane as a missile" Ever heard of Kamikazes?

I could never really figure out how a professor in Russian Studies would have a hand in sending our troops to Afghanistan after what happened to Russia there.

But here is my favorite quote for when she had to explain to Tim Russert how the Niger Uranium claim got back in the State of the Union Address even after we knew it was a forgery... "People Simply Forgot" This is a major claim being used to wage war on an innocent nation, one they repeated over and over...we find out it's a forgery and their people forgot and stuck it back in the state of the union. right.

If we had a free press, it our public airwaves were being used to serve the public interest...none of these people in the Bush Administration would have any credibility whatsoever. Instead the corporate media still has them on like they are experts. And Bush is writing a book on the economy.

If people thought they were bad with Michelle O., they would tear this one up, regardless of her being a repuke.

The teabaggers are infested with too many foaming-at-the-mouth racists to allow this to fly.

A few tough Iraq questions and she'd lose her temper.

Plus, retrying the Iraq war and 9/11 intel failures...great idea. Only the MSM can come up with this shit.

Sadly 9/11 happen and those North Koreans still don't have a missile that makes her not really working missile defense system even of any value. But hey the good news is SHE SOLD IT! I'm sure she's still got her priorities straight. If you want someone to brightly, sophisticatedly, articulately explain why the desert is a good place to find ice cubes. She's your candidate.

Jun 2012
Speaking at a conference Thursday on "The Next Human Leap," former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said there's one leap she won't be taking -- joining the upcoming presidential race as the Republican nominee for vice president.

"I know what I'm not cut out to do," said Rice, in response to a question at the annual Outlook Conference in San Jose sponsored by the Bay Area Business Council.

It would be interesting to see someone on the ticket who has already admitted they're not up to the job. But unlikely, I think.

Two poems by Kurtis Lamkin, the first is "Condoleezza". Kurt is a wonderful, wonderful poet and man, and this always drew a huge laugh back in the day. If she were to be picked, he'd be in the prophet category.

(Btw the second piece is good too!)

Along with all the reasons posters have given Dr. Rice herself has stated on numerous occasions that is not interested in pursuing public office. The media is having some type of wet dream.
