This wasn't a trial balloon, it's a lead one and the people in charge now are toddlers with bad temperaments.

So much damage is going to be done.

1. Trump tells Spicer to announce his tariff idea.
2. Congress has been discussing other ways of paying for it via our taxes/expenditures.
3. CNN recently reported that Trump and Congress will work together on a plan.
4. Congressional reps convinced Trump to back off the tariff talk.

There will probably be more of this back-and-forth in the future.

I ultimately don't trust Trump to take advice from Congress for very long. He will eventually do something impulsive because he's a man-baby.
