So much damage is going to be done.

2. Congress has been discussing other ways of paying for it via our taxes/expenditures.
3. CNN recently reported that Trump and Congress will work together on a plan.
4. Congressional reps convinced Trump to back off the tariff talk.
There will probably be more of this back-and-forth in the future.
I ultimately don't trust Trump to take advice from Congress for very long. He will eventually do something impulsive because he's a man-baby.

Trump's got this clever strategy of leaking trial balloons, then blaming "dishonest media" for misreporting the story if & when they flop.
