And the United States blocked the jews trying to escape the nazis. Then we brought the nazis over with the pretense that they were going to help with the red scare and scientific research. The Peesident is everything that American values is not.

require their confirmation? This person is probably behind so much of the shit. Trump does not read. He does not study. He is just an impressionable idiot. And, Bannon is owed. He delivered Russian influence in election interference and the right wing propaganda.

Hell - require his resignation for being registered to vote in two states ! (which I may be as well )

I think he is too damned self involved to realize how horrible what he has done is. If it is not about Trump or money, he does not give 2 shits and is totally unaware of it. Someone on his team like Ivanka would have to explain to him why what he did is wrong and maybe even use visual aids to get him to understand. If we wanted him to be naturally concerned with anything, it better be named Trump

They do not care anything about anyone other than themselves. What I'm saying is I don't think he has the natural capacity to care for his fellow man. If it doesn't affect him, he does not care.

Roosevelt Government officials from the State Department to the FBI to President Franklin Roosevelt himself argued that refugees posed a serious threat to national security."

And he was a good guy with a brain.

Kind of reminds me too of how we got into Iraq

completely since thought for sure Hillary would win. It is SO much worse. Our only hope to survival is on the backs of Republicans we used to hate - but many, now, seem so sane, compared to this maniac.

Grantcart had a post the other night - saying he is doing exactly what was preached in Art of the Deal. You throw a million balls in the air, create diversion, and get the thing you want the most.

I think Trump sold his soul to the devil (Bannon, Flynn, Right Wing, others) because he was swinging for the fence - conventional wisdom said he would lose by a landslide. Pay back time, horribly true.

20. U.S. Government Turned Away Thousands of Jewish Refugees, Fearing That They Were Nazi Spies

Sounds very much like today's action by Дональда Трампа.

The Abandonment of the Jews

Wyman writes that, because of a combination of nativism, anti-Semitism and an unwillingness to act on any proposal not of direct strategic value, thousands and possibly millions of Jews died who might otherwise have been saved. He documents numerous cases where the Allies found resources (such as shipping) to give aid and rescue to tens of thousands of non-Jewish refugees, while at the same time denying similar aid or rescue efforts to Jews.

That is very much like tRump shutting the door on all Muslim refugees and stating he will give preference in the future to persecuted christians. It is also a violation of the First Amendment clause against state (government) support for religions.
