Unlike during the Obama years, when I was afraid that any terrorist attack would cause an erosion of trust in our President, I think this group of jokers actually WANTS a terrorist attack. And the more devastating the better. I think it will happen within months of an election (either 2018, if it's looking like Drumpf's monumental incompetence is going to cause the Republicans to lose Congress--which it will--or definitely in 2020), and the Republicans will use it just like they did in 2001, to tell us that we all need to unite behind "fearless leader."
I was talking to my wife just the other day and told her that the only silver lining in all of this is that Drumpf is going to damage the Republican brand so badly that they won't win another election for DECADES. Congress will flip to the Democrats in 2018, and their first order of business will be to impeach this assclown. I think he knows this too, and will "allow" a terrorist attack, just like Bush did in 2001. Because one thing I've noticed ever since the Bush years is that whenever the Republicans NEED a terrorist act to frighten people into supporting them again, they always get one. Shortly before a game-changing election (again, either 2018 or 2020), there WILL be a terrorist attack that will allow Drumpf to stand up and say, "See? I told you so!" The only question is whether the American people will be dumb enough to fall for it. Again.
