Trump is attacking the NYT and WaPo this AM via Twitter (replete with typos)

In case anyone cares, here is what the POTUS is focused on this morning:

The failing @nytimes has been wrong about me from the very beginning. Said I would lose the primaries, then the general election. FAKE NEWS!

Thr coverage about me in the @nytimes and the @washingtonpost gas been so false and angry that the times actually apologized to its.....

...dwindling subscribers and readers. They got me wrong right from the beginning and still have not changed course, and never will. DISHONEST

How is it possible that this man is the president?

in the midst of Trump and GOP stupidity, recklessness, and evil. I know that it ain't easy, because I struggle with not freaking out too. But we need to stay calm and focused on electing progressives at all gov levels. We are more effective, when we remain calm and focused on the work to win this fight.

So take a deep breathe. Calmly look this evil and corruption in the face. Help your friends and family to stay calm and not stick their heads in the sand because of Trump's ugliness and stupidity. Hang in there.

I MISS OBAMA!!!

For a presidential fix I watched the 10 best Jed Bartlett clips on YouTube. Pure class!

Toby Ziegler: ...If I were an actor or a writer or uh, uh, uh, a producer in Hollywood and someone were to start coming at me with lists of things that were American and un-American I'd start to think that this was sounding eerily familiar.
President Josiah Bartlet: Do I look like Joe McCarthy to you, Toby?
Toby Ziegler: No, sir. Nobody ever looks like Joe McCarthy. That's how they get in the door in the first place.

(Okay, Ted Cruz.)

I guess that's why I like Lawrence O'Donnell. He helped write these memorable lines.

Trumpy DEFAULT position is to lie. No one should expect that Trumpy tells the truth the first time, the second time, or any time thereafter. He's a lying machine and his batteries will never run out for as long as his heart is pumping. Nothing will stop him from lying.

And the news media STILL hasn't caught on! That Trumpy lies is STILL breaking news! It's his NORMAL, people!

If the news media treats EVERY Trumpy statement as a lie, we're approaching accuracy in journalism.

he loves the adrenaline of the attack. Notice that he always brings these long past issues in every conversation in public view and if there's nobody around, he gets in the twit machine and start telling everyone all about it once again. I'm sure that the more focus on the stolen election and Ptuin ties come to public view, the more outrageous the squirrel triggers will become. Putin is disappearing people over this, there's a big bunch of there there and they are getting nervous because they are slowly being exposed. And the electorate isn't thrilled with them.

The people he has with him in the WH clearly want RW agenda to be the primary narrative in this country. If we don't secure our elections and voting systems to be open and fair, we are looking at GOP rule indefinitely. The only way to change the ways things are is to vote in new politicians, and if our elections are tampered with, we won't be able to that.

We have this unbelievably incompetent person in the WH because our current system failed on many fronts. We have GOP majority in state and federal legislatures and governorships. Elections and voting must be our priority before we have zero say about it.

And the least informed voters are constantly told by FOX that they are the best informed.

The GOP has been promoting the liberal media meme for so long that people accept it as a fact. Even though 90% of the media is corporate owned and controlled, Trump's people know that the media is controlled by liberals.

So when all of your sources of information are FOX and similar outlets, the outcome is obvious.

How much more obvious could something be? Yet the corporate media propaganda machine hides in plain sight from the brainwashed RW sheeple. Sadly, as somebody said, it's much easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled.

The liberal media meme started in the Vietnam War era when Woodward and Bernstein came out with the information from Deep Throat. Plus there were numerous stories about Pentagon waste and the horrors of Vietnam.

But politicians learned from that and now the media is only allowed to be embedded, the better to control what is reported. And I cannot recall the last story I read about waste in the war spending.
