(1,353 posts)But a dangerous one because he's now causing actual strife in people's lives and now has possibly put Americans in danger by Iran banning Americans, not to mention our military and diplomatic employees...
There needs to be more outrage from our congressional leaders...this is really insane...he is in way over his head.

(82,383 posts)shows he thinks he is above the law and also that he is against legal entrants, not just illegal (which I think about people who claim they are fine with immigrants who are legal - yeah right, they are really against those too IMHO).

(901 posts)* Get rid of the ACA with nothing close to adequate to replace it.
* Fire all nonpartisan State Department employees with nobody to fill positions and nobody to train future incoming replacements.
* Ban incoming Muslims from select countries and not tell the airport TSM personnel critical info.
* Order all climate change info be removed from websites, leaving scientists in a lurch, scrambling to protect taxpayer funded research; then reverse course.
As power-hungry, want-a-be dictator tRump rushes through executive order after executive order, he's messing up the lives of real people, as well as the GOP who gleefully plots to dump Obamacare as quickly as possible with little regard to the welfare of millions of citizens...
Total incompetence!

(10,137 posts)At least they used to be, many years ago, back when I worked for a federal contractor. If I were in charge of an entry point, I'd tell my staff to follow the current processes and procedures until the appropriate government office (Homeland Security? ICE? FAA?) gave us a detailed replacement process. Oh, Boss Tweet fired everyone responsible? Not my problem, then.

(14,918 posts)"Executive functions (collectively referred to as executive function and cognitive control) are a set of cognitive processes including attentional control, inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility, as well as reasoning, problem solving, and planning that are necessary for the cognitive control of behavior: selecting and successfully monitoring behaviors that facilitate the attainment of chosen goals.[1][2][3] Executive functions gradually develop and change across the lifespan of an individual and can be improved at any time over the course of a person's life.[2] Similarly, these cognitive processes can be adversely affected by a variety of events which affect an individual.[2] Neuropsychological tests are used to measure executive functions, and are usually performed as part of a more comprehensive assessment to diagnose neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Cognitive control and stimulus control, which is associated with operant and classical conditioning, represent opposite processes (i.e., internal vs external or environmental, respectively) that compete over the control of an individual's elicited behaviors;[4] in particular, inhibitory control is necessary for overriding stimulus-driven behavioral responses (i.e., stimulus control of behavior).[2] The prefrontal cortex is necessary but not solely sufficient for executive functions;[2][5][6] for example, the caudate nucleus and subthalamic nucleus also have a role in mediating inhibitory control.[2][7]
Cognitive control is impaired in both addiction and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.[2][7] Stimulus-driven behavioral responses that are associated with a particular rewarding stimulus tend to dominate one's behavior in an addiction.[7]

The OP is just one good example of this.
Republicans are having the same problem occur in terms of changing the A A to a reductive law embracing their philosophy.
