Trump hotels have bedbug outbreak

I heard from a customer whose friend recently stayed at the new Washington DC Trump hotel that they came back full of bites on their arms and legs. The only thing he could deduce was that someone may have released bedbugs into the hotel. Allegedly.

Be careful staying at any Trump branded property.

So, it could be that Trump himself infested his new hotel if he stayed there. I would be willing to bet that gold encrusted nightmare in New York is infested too.

They just make the bed after the latest guest checks out. I would
not be surprised if it is Trump's policy to save a buck this way.

Several years ago. The claim was it saved water, but my guess it is about costs.

If you'd like to get his attention, since he and the GOP felt it was A-OK not to heed the Founding Fathers and divest, perhaps you could exercise a little leverage.

Issue your own "Executive Orders" selectively limiting the "immigration" into only his hotels and other properties. For justification, make something up. Pokemon infestation. Expired elevator inspections. Spotted a Baby Ruth in the pool. Be creative. Shutter them for a minimum of 6 months at a time.

When his income stream starts to tail off, and the Russians start getting restless to get their mortgage payments, maybe he'll re-think his my-way-or-the-highway philosophy.

Just sayin'.

They aren't terrible because they bite you in your sleep at the hotel.

They are terrible because they crawl into your luggage - go home with you - and you end up paying thousands of dollars and going through an 18 month ordeal in order to get rid of them. I don't mean to sound overly dramatic, but bedbugs are psychologically scarring.

Never put it on the bed.

That's what an entomologist (Bug Girl) said on a science podcast.
And yes, she said that they are nearly impossible to get rid of.

And I'm not even the one who had the bedbugs.

I keep all luggage and other items off the ground (and certainly off the beds). And I give each room a thorough inspection before I'm even willing to sit down.

holdings. The only way to get rid of them in a place as large as a hotel would be to shut it down completely and heat every room hot enough to not only kill the bug but to kill their eggs as well. All the bedding would not only have to be sanitized, it would have to be in a drier for a long time as well. They have evolved to the place where bug spray is pretty much useless. They have become super bugs, the same as lice.
