SOUTHFIELD, MI Southfield-based trial attorney Geoffrey Fieger released a new commercial accusing some of his "white brethren" of racism.
The 1-minute, 5-second commercial was posted on the Fieger Law website last Tuesday with the title, "Racism."
"I know damn well that it really bothers my white brethren that a black family is occupying the White House," he says in the commercial.
He alludes that race is the driving motive for "birthers," who question whether President Barack Obama was actually born in the United States.

(53,661 posts)I'm glad putting the video here's okay.
I often add them, not to upstage the OP, but to allow those whose computers aren't configured for it to see them here.
I'm so glad he spoke out!

(11,304 posts)a funny way of showing your racists through your actions. Actions speak for themselves. You can't call it any other way.

The majority of complaints against the Obamas are in a few categories. They attack their personal style or bodies as they have Michelle. The attack their food, their friends, their education, their personalities or ways of speaking, when they don't really know them.
All of these are low-brow attacks one does not make of one they consider equal. They make ridiculous claims about their policies or suggestions not based in fact. They call them outmoded things like socialists, Marxists, etc. They hide behind ideology and their alleged concerns about economics, family, etc.
What they never discuss, in their attacks, which is what both Barack and Michelle always do, is the problem needing a solution. They don't have a solution. They just want them gone, they are displeased, anything would be better for them. And they cannot, ever, find one single thing that Obama has done right.
This is irrational. Even Bush did some things that were good, overwhelmingly out shadowed by what he did wrong. I said so when he did, I could say that.
When I run into people that are always against Obama, and shoot down all proof he has ever done anything right without adding a backhanded insult or snark, I know that wing nut is too dumb to be worth my time.

(11,304 posts)hated Bush like republicans hate Obama. Never. That is very sad. Obama has more education in his little finger than Bush had in his whole body.

(23,720 posts)Then I usually point out how I'd rather have a loud mouth fighting for me if I was ever in a situation where I had to confront the law than a low key, spineless wimp.

(20,584 posts)for plays at our college and other local productions. There were always lawyers and occassionally judges in the casts. Some had started out as theater majors.
A friend was beside himself when his son decided on a theater major. His mood improved when his son opted for law school.
It does make sense though- a good lawyer had to grasp the concept of courtroom as theater.

(17,609 posts)it has been obvious from day one,do they really think we can't see it and those who deny it seem to think if they admit it,it means they are racist too..

(5,169 posts)But Geoffrey Fieger? Oy freaking vey!
I hope for the Presiden't sake he is "shooting his wad" now, and then hides until November. Most people outside "The City" DO NOT LIKE Geoffrey Fieger. Some, because of his stands, some because of his style, and some because of the fact that he is a lawyer.
Trash me if you must. Even though I agree with his message, those of us who have been watching Geoffrey since the Dr. K days know that he is not a beloved figure.

(26,955 posts)He lost badly to the incumbent John Engler. His candidacy wasn't helped by the Clinton-Lewinsky thingy which grabbed most of the MSM beginning in January of '98.
