Scalia articulates the "We don't allow your kind around here boy" argument

seriously, the ass-bag seems to argue that "as a sovereign state", Arizona should be able to exclude those they don't want to associate with. Does that mean we can get out all the fat-disgusting-ignorant ass-hatted Supreme Court Justices?

Is he really saying that his reasoning is based on the Southern state being able to "exclude" free blacks from their state, as a justification of Arizona's law?

Yes, it appears he does

"Arizona's entire immigration law should be upheld, Scalia wrote, because it is "entitled" to make its own immigration policy. At one point, he cites the fact that Southern states could exclude free blacks from their borders to support the idea that states should be able to set their own immigration policies"

How long will we be required to tolerate this absolute embarrassment to America.

As we say in the Navy; "that guy is a waste of skin".

An only child, Antonin Scalia was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on March 11, 1936.[1] His father, Salvatore Eugene Scalia, was an immigrant from Sicily who was a graduate student and clerk at the time of his son's birth, but who later became a professor of Romance languages at Brooklyn College.[2] His mother, Catherine Scalia (née Panaro), was born in the United States to Italian immigrant parents, and worked as an elementary school teacher.[2]

Darn that Statue of Liberty! And JERSEY then let them in!

A state like California could exclude right-wing ass-hats like Issa from living among them.

Hey...that sounds like a good option. Let's put it to the test.

Say, I'm the legislature from Oklahoma, and I find a compelling reason to stop every young, white, mail, former military member with a crewcut and a copy of the Turner Diaries, and ask for their "papers".

Following his flawed logic, we could run down quite a few "rabbit-holes". He's nothing but an Ayn Randian ass-pickle who envisions an America where the "elite" wouldn't need to "hob-nob" with the "little people" with the exception of the "hired help".

Fuck Reagan for the harm he's done to this country. The only way to save America is to remove the "fucking stain of the Gipper" from our national fabric, and that's going to take some hard work!

It starts on page 30 of this pdf file. His reference to State exclusionary laws regarding blacks starts at the end of the 3rd page of his opinion.

http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/11pdf/11-182b5e1.pdf

"...Notwithstanding “[t]he myth of an era of unrestricted immigration” in the first 100 years of the Republic, the States enacted numerous laws restricting the immigration of certain classes of aliens, including convicted criminals, indigents, persons with contagious diseases, and (in Southern States) freed blacks. Neuman, The Lost Century of American Immigration (1776–1875), 93 Colum. L. Rev.1833, 1835, 1841–1880 (1993). State laws not only provided for the removal of unwanted immigrants but also imposed penalties on unlawfully present aliens and those who aided their immigration.2 Id., at 1883. ..."

Funny how "states rights" only apply when the states do something to advance "wingnut" power and policy.

Shameless bastards!
