Sandusky behaved as if he were immune from punishment for his swaggering displays of deviance. Why else would he tempt the fates with the shower rapes unless he knew that fate wasn't involved; unless he knew that he had enough power to defy the most powerful people at the university, including Coach Joe Paterno?

It's becoming a frightfully common theme -- people in positions of power behaving without regard for decency, law, or the rights of others. I do wonder what gave Sandusky so much power that so many people protected him from justice for so long?

Of those donors, find those who also donated large amounts to PS.
I think you'd find out a lot by doing this. Hopefully, someone is working on this analysis and that they don't end up dead or missing.

(7,570 posts)My opinion is that it was basically an exclusive pedophile prostitute ring, with big PS boosters as members. That would pretty much explain everything while making the fewest assumptions. I only hope we get a chance to find out.

It's just that he got so flagrant with public displays and got away with it, there had to be some serious weight on his side. One thing for sure, well never know. Oh, wait, Louis Freeh is investigating this for Penn State. He'll tell us
