I tend to insomnia and have all my life. But most of the time I can sleep at least some.

I went through a terrible bout after my second baby was born and I retired from my first career to stay home. In retrospect, it was probably an adjustment disorder because I loved that job and didn't know exactly what to do with myself. I just could not sleep and I became exhausted and almost had to be hospitalized. Then it simply stopped. Anyway, I remember being awake in the middle of the night and reading my Merck Manual to see what possibly could be wrong with me and saw the chapter on "Prions" and FFI and it just scared the shit out of me. I thought I had it.
