Question about Alternet.org

I shared a story from Alternet that someone had posted on Facebook. One friend implied in her reply that it was not a good source of information (and that the author was not named in the article, but that could be because he/she wanted to stay anonymous).

Can anyone tell me about alternet.org's credibility? I don't read it often, except for occasional posts here that link to it ... during those times, they've never given me a reason to question their reliability.

Thanks!

I felt they were credible too, but wanted to make sure something hadn't changed ... I really appreciate your feedback.
