Apparently the Trump-Flynn honeymoon is over.

Trump thinks "Flynn talks too much."
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2017/01/mike-flynn-is-annoying-trump-because-he-acts-just-like-trump.html

Less than two weeks into the Trump presidency, Flynn has “gotten on the nerves” of the president and others in his administration, according to the New York Times. Why? Flynn’s “overbearing,” he talks “too much,” and he presided “over a chaotic and opaque N.S.C. transition process,” the Times says. Flynn also likes to push the boundaries of what’s typically thought acceptable in D.C. Trump liked that when Flynn was chanting “lock her up” and calling Islam a “cancer,” but those antics have apparently become less amusing over time. Recently, for example, Flynn had to be talked out of going to DeploraBall, a Trump inauguration event where the “Sieg heil!” had to be explicitly banned, because at those kind of things you never know.

Could this be what is behind moving Bannon to the NSC - to rein in Flynn? Things may be about to get even more interesting because this kind of maneuvering almost never works. Eventually the long knives come out and someone gets purged and you know it is not going to be Bannon.

3. I'd prefer a circular firing squad. Bannon is the more ruthless of the two.

But it makes little difference. Under Trump, they're all batshit crazy and getting worse.

We're one Bannon fart away from martial law.

...this whole shake-up did just occur after those two "spies" were arrested in Russia. Everyone agrees that if it was the Trump admin who outed them that Flynn was the most likely culprit.

Nobody wants to get too close to a traitor.

9. Not Buying This

I am not buying this information. Something else is going on here. Flynn and Trump were on the campaign trail together for months. After that they were together for months again as they worked through the transition. If Flynn was going to get on Trump's nerves it would have happened before he was in the White House. It is possible that people within the Trump White House are learning that Mike Flynn cannot be controlled as much as they thought. Maybe being an independent thinker is not a good thing in the Trump White House. Also, they may try to throw Flynn overboard in order to blame him for all the problems the Trump White House is currently having.

I think you and I are thinking similarly here.

Flynn also just deleted his Twitter account.

Curious.
