First thing this morning I saw Kellyanne Conjob on GMA blathering her usual shit; lies, word salad and other obfuscations. Meanwhile, her supreme overlord mocks Chuck Schumer's emotions about the ban.

Doesn't work that way. Unlike in a business, a government can't "fire" a citizen just because they do something that embarrasses or threatens a comfortable political position. Constitutional Rights and Laws are there for a reason; they protect both ways.
Also, an elected representative government is an employee of "the people", not the ruler of a people.

Of course, in a dictatorship, a government can "fire" a citizen. But that means that is a country where there is no freedom or legal citizenship for anyone but the ruler, who will eventually lose that position at the top as s/he goes too far and pisses everyone off when any citizen can be "fired" - or disappeared. Someone else will either want that dictator position for themselves, or a mob will grow to be so outraged that the dictator will be gone one way or another.

People will always get together and act if they have to protect themselves and their basic rights for survival. It's wise for a government to remember that.
