to CNN only to find the Saturday Night Massacre in the US. Jarring.

I remember my dad and his friend a Canadian diplomat at the cottage listening to the radio and talking about Watergate. I was 7 but got the whole horror mixed with compellingness of the story. These current times remind me of that for sure. Vibes to you all.

All the statement needed to say is that Sally Yates is no longer serving as Acting Attorney General and Dana Boente will be replacing her. End of statement. At least Nixon wasn't quite such a dick in his public statements.

It is important to note that Boente was not the next in line for Attorney succession, which would have been Zach Fardon of Northern Illinois, indicating that Trump called around until he found one who was willing to violate their oaths and carry out his orders.
