Twitter Question

How does one know if an account is genuine? I've been reading tweets from somebody but I'm not certain they are who they say they are.

If somebody else is using your name and posting, is there some process to stop that?

Those have the blue check by their name, which means they're verified as legit by Twitter.

Everything else is 'consume at your own risk' so to speak.
