the attorney general serves at the pleasure of the president, and so can be fired at any time for any reason.

even a petty and vindictive one.

not to mention impatient, as she'd only have been acting ag for a very short time until sessions or whoever gets confirmed gets in.

also politically stupid, as it invited saturday night massacre comparisons.
