Cheeto will not voluntarily resign and cite family or health as reasons

Several posts recently fantasizing about Cheeto giving up and deciding to resign.

It would take a pretty extraordinary situation for him to consider resigning, something along the lines of months of daily protests as large, or larger than the Women’s March, AND republican lawmakers uniting against him (which is highly unlikely) to deny his Cabinet appointments or stop some of his Executive Orders.

If the White House situation deteriorates to the point that he has to resign to save face, he would NEVER state that he has health problems or that he’s leaving for the sake of his family. Either of those admissions would imply weakness and he will NEVER admit to any failing.

Think about any narcissist you have ever known, then inflate that ego by one hundred or even a thousand. I have known several narcissists, but none come even close to Twitler.

He has been in the public eye for decades. Has he ever made any statement that would imply any kind of weakness on his part? Never. Everything that he is or has been associated with is the “biggest” or the “best.” Even when he has failed and everyone knows he has failed, he still has never admitted defeat. He is incapable of doing so.

If he resigns, he will state that the job was too easy, it wasn’t challenging enough for someone with such a “big brain,” or his business interests can’t continue without him. He has to be able to tell himself that he is “winning” or that he could have won, if only he wanted it.

Malignant narcissism

Malignant narcissism is a psychological syndrome comprising an extreme mix of narcissism, antisocial personality disorder, aggression, and sadism.[1] Often grandiose, and always ready to raise hostility levels, the malignant narcissist undermines organizations in which they are involved, and dehumanizes the people with whom they associate.[2]

The importance of malignant narcissism and of projection as a defense mechanism has been confirmed in paranoia, as well as "the patient's vulnerability to malignant narcissistic regression"

Sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?
