Report: In a 'humiliating' and 'threatening' tone, Trump lambasted Mexico's president during call

"During a phone call with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Friday, President Donald Trump reportedly disparaged Mexico and threatened to use military force against the drug trade, according to Washington, DC-based journalist Dolia Estevez.

In an interview with Mexican news outlet Aristegui Noticias, Estevez, who cited sources on both sides of the call, said "it was a very offensive conversation where Trump humiliated Peña Nieto."

Estevez said that while both the White House and the Mexican president released information about the call, both sides characterized it as a "friendly" conversation and neither revealed what was said.

Estevez said she "obtained confidential information" corroborating the content of the discussion."

Not that I think Trumps not capable of being a giant dick, but he still wants some stuff from Mexico. Stuff that only Nieto can give him.

Lambasting anyone, even in private, is not smart from a business point of view.

I don't know though, People used to talk here about Obama playing three dimensional chess when Repubs were playing checkers. Maybe my belief that trump is manipulating all of us is putting too much faith in his ability as an evil person.

Trump likes to be all nice nice on phone calls and in person...and then tweets horrible things afterward.

He wants to be loved...I doubt he said those things.

...he certainly needs things from Mexico, but I gather that his approach to deal-making is to denigrate what the other side offers and then negotiate from there.

He is totally lacking in any diplomatic skills. Lacking in basic courtesy.

This was in reference to the the drug trafficking from Mexico.

“Incluso le sugirió que si son incapaces de combatirlo (al narco) quizá tenga que enviar tropas para que asuman esta tarea”, reveló.

Which translates to:
"He even suggested that if they are unable to fight him (narco) he may have to send troops to take on this task," he revealed.
