And when the shit hits the fan, where is safe haven?

Trump seems to want to goad everyone into a war, and it's a not a matter of if, but rather, when and with whom we will engage.

I have two boys, one 14, one 18. I cannot imagine sacrificing them to Bannon's twisted, deplorable view of the world.

We have friends in Europe...hell, my kids have dual German/American citizenship. But Europe won't be our ally when goes down. In fact, I foresee the Bannon White House joining with Putin in crushing Europe, before Russia does the same to what used to be the USA.

Will there be anywhere on this planet that my kids can go when this nightmare plays itself out? Canada?

Yes. I'm frightened. Very, very frightened.

to speak. As the Mom of a gay daughter...if he puts an executive order against LGBTQ or the religious hate is ok executive order I am out of here. Also he may get enough judges to put LGBTQ folks in jail as well as forced therapy. My husband's family came from Ireland in the 1940's. He is the youngest of four...his dad was 52 when he was born. We have the right to return as first generation...or we could go to Canada.

I don't think Canada would be as welcoming when it came right down to it. There would just be too many of us for Canada to absorb.

We need to RESIST, not run. Not yet, anyway.

my Gay Daughter to the so called therapy or to die in an American hospital that failed to treat her based on her sexual preference. And if we have the so called religious freedom act or what have you...this is what would happen. No, the day we head towards what is a fascist hatred of Gays, Muslims, Jews...whatever...or rescind the civil rights act, I am our of here.

I have been looking into this as well. My personal 'go' sign will be when it looks like 45 and his ilk change voting rights/redistricting to such a degree that the chances of electing democrats diminish more than they already have. Until then we are going to vehemently resist.

I sincerely hope that it doesn't get to that point. We have to hang on to the fact that there are more of us than there are of them. We will prevail.

Trump is attempting to become a dictator...which is why he is ruling by executive order.

Already he shows signs of flouting both Congress and the courts...which would make him a dictator.

I have one son within drafting age, and I have three grandsons in their teens. I'm petrified. I'm petrified for ALL of us Americans because the trump administration is causing people around the world to despise us. trump supporters learned nothing from the dubya era.

But if Trump goads them guys to launch, Trump Tower in downtown Manhattan is likely ground zero for the first incoming nuke.

I wouldn't hesitate to peace out and move to Berlin.

If you are rich, you can go anywhere and my top choices would be:
Australia
New Zealand
Canada

The second tier down and, I think, easier to get into would be:
Singapore
Costa Rica
Argentina
Brazil

Lower tiers where you can go and disappear:
Thailand
Panama
South Africa
