Flynn asks for nonexistent evidence of "Polish incursions in Belarus" - What is he setting up?

This news was from the AP, and national security expert John Schindler immediately asked, "Gleiwitz, anyone?" - referring to the famous false-flag op that was Nazi Germany's excuse to invade Poland.

https://apnews.com/9a5a5fbbb2ba45b2b9316e1734ec22eb

According to one U.S. official, national security aides have sought information about Polish incursions in Belarus, an eyebrow-raising request because little evidence of such activities appears to exist. Poland is among the Eastern European nations worried about Trump's friendlier tone on Russia.

Those would be Flynn's aides. Flynn has a history of trying to find intelligence to bolster his crazy ideas, rather than following actual facts.

And in this case, he's apparently trying to help create an excuse for US inaction if Russia makes any moves against Poland..

(and in that tweet, the Twitter handle Schindler included after "FYI" is for the Polish Ministry of Defense)

and is more likely an attempt to justify the perhaps now impending Russian occupation of Belarus. "We had to come rescue this poor little country from its nasty neighbor to the west. Even the US agrees it was those nasty Poles again, just like in 1939." Putin gets Belarus, and the US gets?????

After Belarus I suppose the Baltic states--Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia--are next.

Before the German attack on Poland on September 1, 1939, the Nazi regime launched an aggressive media campaign to build public support for a war that few Germans desired. To present the invasion as a morally justifiable, defensive action, the German press played up “Polish atrocities,” referring to real or alleged discrimination and physical violence directed against ethnic Germans living in Poland. The press deplored Polish “warmongering” and “chauvinism,” and also attacked the British for encouraging war by promising to defend Poland in the event of German invasion.

The Nazi regime even staged a border incident designed to make it appear that Poland initiated hostilities. On August 31, 1939, SS men dressed in Polish army uniforms “attacked” a German radio station at Gleiwitz (Gliwice). The next day, Hitler announced to the German nation and the world his decision to send troops into Poland in response to Polish “incursions” into the Reich. The Nazi Party Reich Press Office instructed the press to avoid the use of the word war. They were to report that German troops had simply beaten back Polish attacks, a tactic designed to define Germany as the victim of aggression. The responsibility for declaring war would be left to the British and French.

Russia doesn't border on Poland.

But Belarus is in play now, I'd say. It's a former Soviet "Republic" until the breakup of the Soviet Union. Putin obviously has eyes on re-establishing that empire. Which puts Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic States in the crosshairs. The Baltics are Nato countries, not the others IIRC, so they prehaps have some protection, though Trump has indicated he doesn't really care.

Poland borders Russian territory.

The Russian territory is called Kaliningrad and was annexed by Russia as part of the Nazi war reparations. During the Soviet era it was a closed territory, meaning that Westerners and even Russians had to have permission to visit the area, permission seldom forthcoming. Part of the territory is again closed. It's rumored that Putin's put nuclear missiles there. What's indisputable is that the area's seen a military build up with surface-to-air missile batteries that can reach many hundreds of miles.

Of course, if Putin claims "Poland's staged incursions" there are two responses. The first is to say, "Okay." The second is to say, "No, they haven't." Either way, you'd want to actually have some information; foolish to say okay if there's no evidence that there were, and idiocy to say they haven't if there's evidence they have.

Muddling the waters is what was going on a decade ago when nobody was paying attention to Putin, with Belarusian Polish communities under the gun for being polaci and not eastern Slavs. Remember, Belarus has a slice of formerly Polish territory, and when the Poles fled into their Stalin-mandated borders (what Truman's compliance on shifting borders and such) not all left. Yeah, yeah, Truman was president when the Allies ceded Kaliningrad to Stalin.

Its so damn obvious that Trump and Bannon are students of Hitler, now trying to gin up fake Polish incursions into Russian territory!

Has Trump signed a secret pact with Putin to carve up Poland or probably just to take no action as the Dictator of Russia swallows it up?

Trump and Putin probably discussed this shit when he cut off the recording of the phone call to Putin and God knows what else.

The reichstag fire event in the USA where Trump and the republicans in Congress suspend the Constitution and impose martial law maybe?

MINSK – Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has lashed out at Russia, accusing his powerful neighbor of violating treaties and using its role as an energy supplier to "grab us by the throat."

Speaking to journalists in Minsk on February 3, Lukashenka harshly criticized Moscow's recent decision to establish a "security zone" with border controls along the two countries' shared border.

Russia made the move to secure the previously open border after Minsk announced it was granting visa-free entry to Belarus to short-term visitors from some 80 countries as of February 9.

At his press conference, Lukashenka said Russia had "crossed out" existing treaties with Belarus "with the stroke of a pen" ...

Concerts, exhibitions and seminars will highlight the former US president’s role in helping Poland regain its independence in 1918.

The move comes as Poland prepares to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its independence after World War I.

Warsaw mayor Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz said at a conference in City Hall on Friday: "On 22 January 1917, Wilson delivered his famous speech... in which he recognized the rebirth of Poland as one of the objectives of the war.

“It was something unexpected, a special moment in history, because, let's be honest, who remembered a country which had not existed for 120 years” ...

I think we'll be seeing a lot of foreign policy decisions that "just so happen" to benefit Russia over our own country's security interests.

There's a whiff of traitor about Trump.
