Republicans Like McConnell and Ryan Are More Dangerous

in the long term than Donald Trump. Donald Trump says his stupid things in public and reveals his nefarious plans openly. Congressional Republicans, on the other hand, pretend to be thoughtful people willing to consider alternatives. They are no either of those things, though. They have the same destructive plans they have always have. They are still racists, because they have always been. They are still misogynists, because they have always been.

We must not make the mistake of focusing all of our attention on Donald Trump. We must continue to watch Republicans in power everywhere, and to look behind their public words by examining their actions, which say different things about them.

Yes, we must fight Trump, but we must not lose sight of a larger battle that has been going on for decades.

At least I will know that I'm under attack. I'm more fearful of animals who sneak up behind me and attack me from the rear.

Both are dangerous, of course, but I'd rather be able to see clearly that I need to flee or prepare to defend myself. With Trump, that's always obvious. With other Republicans, it is not so obvious.

That's the difference, as I see it.

making sure that every Democratic voter goes to the polls in every election. If we would do that, instead of just complaining about it, we wouldn't be in this sorry position, I believe.
