I'd love someone to tell us why he was sent off to military school so young. That would explain everything.

Sorry, that may be a bit of an alternative fact, based on what the man has said about himself. Didn't mean to mislead.

When he is worried about his debt ratio he says "I am not over leveraged".

When he is worried that people are perceiving him as stupid he says "I am very intelligent".

He then supports it by something that he thinks will impress "I know lots of words", "I am well educated".

The Emperor is telling people he loves his garments.

that when a person goes out of their way to give a personality trait to themselves, it generally means that it isn't true (or not as true as they're implying). Not many people who are intellectually gifted feel the need to mention how intelligent they are, just like how people who are kind generally don't have to say it. Like the saying goes: "Show me. Don't tell me."

like beautiful, wonderful, majestic. Nobody that I know that is smart doubles up on the modifiers rather than adding any specifics.

I'm gonna hire wonderful, beautiful generals, you'll see, you're gonna love 'em.

I don't know any smart people that do that. I know quite a few smart people.
