We need a cohesive message and someone who can lead the strategy we will need to dig ourselves out of this horrible mess.

(2,769 posts)but at no point could we actually believe they wouldn't stick this asshole, or any of those assholes, in there. I gave up on hoping there was a good, kind or decent bone in any of the Republican politicians bodies last month sometime. They are craven, vindictive, sadists who will be happy with nothing short of subjugating all of us for their amusement.

Who needs to be hit with an asteroid? Trump & Co. will do enough damage. On the other hand, the asteroid would take out the fascists too, so....(thinking)...

Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange is Gov. Robert Bentley's likely pick to replace Jeff Sessions in the U.S. Senate, according to reports.
Citing three Republicans close to the matter, Politico said Strange has plans to travel to Washington, D.C. this week to interview possible Senate office staffers.
Current Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions is expected to be confirmed today to become the country's next Attorney General. Gov. Bentley has named six people to a shortlist to replace Sessions: Strange; State Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh; U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt; Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affair Director Jim Byard; former State Rep. Perry Hooper Jr.; state Rep. Connie Rowe of Jasper.
....
Strange's possible appointment is mired in controversy. Last year, he asked the House committee investigating Bentley's relationship with former staffer Rebekah Caldwell Mason to suspend its proceedings while his office conducts "necessary related work."
