How long before the America First trials begin?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/michael-anton-trump-essay-publius-decius-mus_us_589ba947e4b09bd304bff3c8?244ol1oapqlg14i&

I sense a coming 'new red scare' against those determined to be anti-America First (in the early twentieth century sense).

This doofus has surrounded himself with people like Anton (covered in the above-linked piece), Bannon and other far right-wing loons who - through their conspiracy-dulled brains see a once-great nation being ripped apart by diversity, immigration, and globalism, heading for a reckoning.

If it isn't stopped in its tracks I fear a quick return to the 1950's McCarthy-esque shame of political witch trials by the majority party on everyone else.

White, black, Jew, Muslim, Christian, no one will be immune.

His lies are so fast and furious you cannot possibly keep up with them.

He has mastered using digital media to spread his messages far and wide, keeping his minions foaming at the mouth no matter how ridiculous, false or libelous.

Don't underestimate the gullibility of the populace (even the generally intellectual), I've seen it first hand.

to McCarthy. Not even then Senator John F. Kennedy. Times have changed. I don't think Massachusetts' current Senator, Elizabeth Warren, would remain silent. I would like to see the nit wit try this nonsense.

Mentored Twitler. Enough said.

The red scare is in his genes.

Having trials, detentions, black site interragations, none of this is out of the question with the dangerous mindset of these phonies.

McCarthy. It didn't happen in a vacuum. Television was in it's nascent stages. The first televised presidential debate had not taken place yet. Today's social media is a double edged sword and not a single edged sword. I think you gloss over the historical differences.

None. Period.

Senator McCarthy was never as powerful as a unitary executive with two entire branches of the government under his control.

Do not underestimate the evil of power.

The digital age may help, but it is no remedy for the unmitigated disaster that could befall the country should the current hyperbole without a bilateral response continue.

Don't count on the r's to do anything fair or just.

Their worldview is being pushed through fast. This is a right wing wet dream.

Even our beloved Senator Warren could be deemed an enemy of the state, or a national security risk and dragged in front of a select committee, or 'Star Chamber'

We must not give an inch, because Twitler will take a thousand miles.

PHOENIX - Protesters took to Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters Wednesday to block the deportation of a Mesa mom who was ordered deported during an immigration check-in earlier in the day.

You're far more optimistic than I am.

We live in dangerous times, led by dangerous people.

There are no moderate members of the majority party.

it is the first thing that comes to mind --- They say never invoke Hitler because you lose the discussion immediately. It's considered axiomatic. But--- When I watch the broad scope of right wing action and Trumpist rhetoric. It's hard to ignore.

"What Would Hitler Do" comes to mind immediately with all the rhetoric, bigotry, bullying and weapons proliferation. WWHD

And has appointed those who truly hate their respective agencies to run those agencies.

The only thing government should do in their eyes is drop bombs and protect money.
Oh, and Congress. They can keep their jobs, insurance and pensions.
