THUNDER SNOW! THUNDER SNOW! THUNDER SNOW!

I woke on eastern Long Island, NY this morning and looked out the window to see a tiny bit of snow and it was raining. Temperature above freezing. No problem.

PFFFT! That's a blizzard? Big deal.

An hour later I hear thunder and look out the window and the rain is literally turning to heavy snow if front of my eyes and the mercury drops to just below freezing.

Coming down in about an inch per half hour.

That will teach me to taunt the weather.

There is an inch of slush under the snow.
