kellyanne conway BROKE THE LAW on fox news today.

Kellayanne Conway violated ban on Federal employees using public office for endorsement of product.

§ 2635.702 Use of public office for private gain.

An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations. The specific prohibitions set forth in paragraphs (a) through (d) of this section apply this general standard, but are not intended to be exclusive or to limit the application of this section.

7. It's not typically something that is criminally prosecuted

It's usually handled administratively within the department or agency, the employee gets counseled, or in more serious cases reprimanded and maybe suspended without pay for a short time.

So unless these things can be taken up in criminal courts, they will go on and on.

9. The Obama Administration didn't prosecute federal employees for stuff like this either

Julian Castro was found to have violated the law (Hatch Act) last year, the Office of Special Counsel concluded he violated the law, they referred it to the White House who then rightly declined to take an further administrative action against him.

It would be ridiculous to criminally prosecute any federal employees, regardless of who is in charge, for minor infractions like these, that's why it's enforced administratively within the department or agency.

Best of luck to them. I know like all here, I'm sick of the teflon behavior this administration gets.

Not one of them has any idea what they are doing.
And a lot of the times their "mistakes" are intentional.
