Now Trump Enables Puppy Torture

http://www.nj.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/02/now_trump_advocates_abusing_puppies_dont_wait_for.html

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is the latest government agency to purge information from its website, and it will affect how New Jerseyans buy their pets.

Our state is one of seven (along with New York City) that require consumers to buy their dog or cat from a reputable breeder - specifically, one that is registered with the USDA and has zero violations under the Animal Welfare Act. It was already having an effect on puppy mills and kitten mills, experts say, as it kept a check on breeders who abuse animals, with inspections from 9,000 animal-handling facilities (labs, breeders, fur farms, zoos, aquariums, etc.) posted on the USDA website.

Now all that data - inspection reports, research facility annual reports, and even lists of people licensed to inspect horses - vanished last Friday.

The USDA, citing privacy laws, added that it will "review and redact, as necessary, the lists of licensees and registrants under the AWA."

In other words, President Trump's USDA took down the tool needed to enforce the law in New Jersey, so now the unscrupulous breeders have carte blanche to torture puppies.

I understand that livestock, zoo animals, and all pets are no longer safe, too. And, they're now more vulnerable to being poisoned by their food.

Keith Olbermann did a good good video on this subject yesterday or Wednesday.

Like in the video where Keith said, if you've never had a pet, part of your soul is missing. He did a video a while ago, about Trump and his weird relationship with dogs.
His video from today is about deportation/camps it is chilling.

dedicated to saving the lives of Bichon Frise , and Bichon Frise mix dogs. Puppy Mills, which is what the Con has now Ok'd. I wonder if he KNOWS what he's done? From what I've heard, he doesn't much like dogs or cats so even if he knew the horrible treatment that goes on in puppy mills, he probably wouldn't care! Who in the world got to him? Puppy mills don't have the money to hire lobbyists, so who conned him into this move with the AG dept? I'm a Dem. so I can't threaten anyone to withold my vote, but the President of our rescue org. is a Pub as are lots of our volunteers. I'm going to contact our Pres. and convince her to slam the Con nation wide! We are in all 50 States and we'll change some minds! You have no ideas how long & hard we've fought and worked to establish the rules this JACKASS JUST ELIMINATED! Together with lots of other rescue groups, we'll make him regret what he did!

This Blog Is Republishing All the Animal Welfare Records the USDA Deleted

A grassroots effort to recover the extant records has sprung up amid controversy over the USDA’s decision to remove the files from the web.

It's a well known edict that once something has been posted online, it can never be removed. That's turning out to be the case for thousands of animal welfare records that the Department of Agriculture removed from the web last week ( https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/why-did-the-usda-delete-thousands-of-animal-abuse-records-from-its-website ). Now, a government transparency blog is on a mission to recover, and republish, as many of these records as possible.

"Whenever there are documents that were online, but got pulled offline, they're automatically important," said Russ Kick, who runs the blog The Memory Hole 2 ( http://thememoryhole2.org/about/ ), where many of the documents have already been re-published. "Nobody's going to go through the trouble to delete something that doesn't matter."

How could they do this? It's like they go out of their way to make life miserable for every living creature and they enjoy the pain they cause. I hate them so much!
