Ok...my brain is actually wired in a different way than trumpskys

This was found on a daily kos op in the comments. It contains a couple of links explaining how rightie trumpskys brains have a predisposition for fear and how those more sane liberal brains are more apt to conflict resolution. I think they refer to this as evolution.

There’s actually solid biological evidence to support this claim.

Brain scans show that conservatives tend to have larger and more active amygdalae, which are involved in processing emotions including fear and disgust. And their brains light up more strongly when presented with fearful or disgusting stimuli.

Liberals tend to have a larger and more active anterior cingulate, involved in calculating conflict resolution.

Yes. I was clueless back then about politics. Just followed my conservative parents. NT DippyDem Feb 2017 #5
My brain scans came back positive. Turns out I have a brain. Thus I'm a liberal Bucky Feb 2017 #3

What puzzles me is two brothers that can have widely different views. I have one brother who is radical right, and I have never figured out where it came from. But then I sometimes I think that I am the anomaly as my other brothers vote republican. I have always blamed the military for that.

Now I wonder why I changed from Conservative to Democrat pre 2008 and now a flaming Liberal in 2016?

So, I don't know your particular situation. One possibility is that you moved toward thinking in more solutions-oriented ways because of your brain chemistry, but maybe you were acculturated earlier in life to thinking in more conservative ways.

Raised in progressive Santa Monica, attended excellent schools, he somehow managed to avoid learning anything about logic or critical thinking.

He's just one big walking lizard brain firing up with fear and aggression all day long.
