What I “learned” from Cable Newz today

I don’t watch TV news at home, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Stuck in the Airport, my gate has those omnipresent tv’s stuck on CNN. This is what I heard today:

The health care crisis is because Americans are fat and smoke. If we just took Personal responsibility for our actions, everyone would be just fine and there would be no crisis. Oh, and we don’t go to the doctor enough, even those with ‘really good insurance’ . This was said repeatedly by Sanjay Gupta, who probably has a personal trainer, nutritionist and many free hours to excerise a week. I wonder how the typical t-bagger I've seen pics of at their rallies feels about this. I suppose they all feel like they are Olympic Athletes.

I also ‘learned’ that even if ‘Obamacare’ is repealed, those nice Insurance companies surely won’t throw those with pre-existing conditions back off insurance, or raise their rates, or impose a lifetime cap on benefits again. Really, nothing will change (in a bad way)! This was said with complete sincerity.

And on the matter of “Obamacare”, during an interview with a Democratic state politician in Missouri, the bubble-headed ‘reporter’ would use no other phrase, even after directly admitting that “Obamacare’ was an insult, and after the Dem kept insisting on calling it by its proper name, the Affordable Healthcare Act. This was done without a trace of shame or irony. Quite a show.

Lots of chortling about how some Democrats were going to have to vote against Holder in the contempt vote, because of NRA pressure.

They also managed to throw in a few insults to that school bus monitor and some poor Floridians who got their houses flooded out. And then it was, thankfully, time for the blissful release of flight.

It is no wonder this country is in such trouble.

He tried to "debunk" Michael Moore's "Sicko" by interviewing an insurance lobbyist and calling him a doctor. The opposite of what he says is the truth.

And it's no longer an insult, but a total compliment!
