Trumps White House is "scared to death" and already hunkered down in "survival mode"

Trump’s White House is ‘scared to death’ and already hunkered down in ‘survival mode’: report

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/02/trumps-white-house-is-scared-to-death-and-already-hunkered-down-in-survival-mode-report/

Sources tell Axios’s Mike Allen that the White House at the moment is in a state of “borderline chaos” and that “some staff is in survival mode” and is “scared to death” by what’s about to happen.

A “West Wing confidant,” meanwhile, tells Allen that it looks like “nobody is in charge” at the White House at the moment, and that the scandal surrounding fired National Security Adviser Michael Flynn shows the Trump administration is either “reckless” or simply has “total incompetence.”

The trouble for the White House this week began when Flynn resigned after it was revealed that he lied about discussing American sanctions with the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during a phone call this past December.

Then on Tuesday evening, both the New York Times and CNN reported that senior Trump campaign officials were in constant contact with Russian intelligence officers during the 2016 presidential race.

This goes beyond partisan politics, the country needs a functioning and competent Executive Branch. There are lives on the line and our enemies are sure to exploit the weakness from this administration to harm our country. While the implosion is good in that the disaster causing policies he intends to implement will not be successfully put in place, it's bad in that we're going to end up in a major war because of this incompetence and a major terror attack will likely occur under this clown's watch.

It's dire but I do believe we can survive. Him? You have to have the ability to feel shame, remorse, depression, etc. to do that. Everything in him is designed to protect him from those. Instead he feels rage, paranoia, righteous indignation and very, very compartmentalized thinking.

Nothing like a "terrorist strike" on the actual "homeland" to force all the factions to come together, muzzle and manipulate the press, and silence ALL critics (whom you can then libel and slander as "enemy sympathizers&quot .

Note to the "sources" - these things are not mutually exclusive.

Top to bottom, this administration has both - in spades.

Institutional pathological narcissism. An administration full of people who think that anything they do must be excellent, perfect, etc. simply because they do it.

On the flip side, Adm Harward is a great choice for National Security Advisor. He actually seems qualified and sensible and knows what he's doing. It's up to Harward and Mattis to keep Trump from starting WW3.

I don't know how many positions await Congressional approval (other than the Supreme Court seat), but the current administration is basically circling the bowl at this point. The next president should make these nominations.

(I realize that might be Pence, but the longer we can keep some of these positions clear, the better.)

is how cons operate, most of them anyway, maybe not all but surely most.

So he will do whatever it takes to save himself no matter the cost to others and the nation.

Personally I dont think anything is going to happen unless the CIA does something drastic in releasing info or something, surely the GOP has no intention of doing their job, the patriotic thing, etc.
