betrayed the country. Trump's campaign -- in an act of treason -- was in constant contact with Russia (if everything is proven of course). Republicans are desperate to shift the focus from Trump, and they are now rather shockingly portraying Trump -- a POSSIBLE TRAITOR AND BLACKMAILED RUSSIAN SERVANT -- is a "victim" who needs to be protected from evil intelligence agencies. Our own intelligence agencies -- not Russia's agencies of course.
We need to fight this as hard as we can -- if the republicans can get away with it, they will not investigate the frankly shocking allegations about Russia, and they will instead set out to destroy our intelligence agencies.
Fox is trying in one of their most desperate and transparent acts of spin imaginable to make this shocking story of Trump's Russia connections into an indictment of our intelligence community and leaks. Every single commentator is screaming about it, screaming that the leakers must be found and put in prison, and yet not one of the "patriot" Foxers sees fit to mention Trump and Trump's campaign acts of treason. Not one. Take off those flag pins, Foxers.

(15,806 posts)but it's easier to tell about it than to go through the cumbersome process of sharing it here.
Anyway, the gist of the cartoon is that, in the midst of the flames, the fire alarm is blamed for the fire.

(2,052 posts)Or whistleblowing. I heard King going on about "10 years in prison" this morning. It's pretty damning when the only response is to attack the messengers and channels of information.

(70,725 posts)So much for "the Happy Warrior" being the template for success in American politics. This dude just whines and blames all day, every day. And everything is not ever an event of its own. Everything is somebody else's fault.
Today's thing is for him to claim that FLYNN is a victim. Didn't wingnuts used to claim that they were for "personal responsibility"?!1 Plus, he twistedly claims that his political enemies are to blame for FLYNN and everything else. Like, whaaa?!1 So FLYNN (and DRUPMF) have *NO* responsibility for any of their OWN ACTIONS (and ignorances, and lies)!1
DRUMPF put together the only crew who would have him, who are willing to be sycophants for him, the same as the crew of second tier and below has-been celebs willing to kiss his ass to be on his reality show.

congress will be dusting off the Sedition Act of 1918 and giving it a fresh new make-over for its starring role in the Silencing of America: Centennial Celebration
Which will be part of a double-feature with Head em up & Move em Out: the return of the Alien Enemy Act
